The Story of White Deer Lodge

We (Roger and Michelle) live and operate an organic dairy farm in the
Waumandee Valley of Buffalo County. This 800 acre farm has 400 acres of
woodland and much of the remaining land is used to graze our cattle. We have
two children, Matt and Latonia. The farm has been in the family for over
100 years.

For years we have talked about building a cabin for others to come and enjoy the
beautiful area and experience nature at its finest! Because of our prime hunting
land it initially was going to be something small for hunters to stay in while they
got their prize buck or turkey. We then decided going bigger and have more
luxuries available to attract honeymooners, families, business people, or really
anyone who wanted the comforts of home, but all the adventures of nature.

The end result was a three story lodge that is absolutely beautiful! Cathedral
ceilings, loft, deck, fireplace, whirlpool everything we have always wanted in a
home. Because of the many albino deer in the area, we came up with the very
fitting name of White Deer Lodge.
